Terms of service

What reTorHub is, what is expected of you while you use it, and what is deliberately not promised.

Last updated 5 September 2026 · reTorHub is run by Filippos Ventirozos as a research project.

What this is

reTorHub helps a group of people find a time to meet. You say what you are interested in and when you are free, you propose gatherings with a condition attached, and the app looks for the arrangement of people and hours that satisfies the most conditions at once.

By creating an account or connecting a calendar you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not create an account.

It is a research project

This is not a commercial product. It is built and run by one person, it runs on modest infrastructure, and it is used by a small group while it is being developed.

That has consequences you should weigh before you rely on it: it can be offline without warning, features can change or disappear, and data can be lost. Do not make it the only record of anything that matters to you.

Your account

Accounts are created from an invite, and the invite decides which workspace you join. You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself and for what happens under your account. Tell us if you think someone else has got into it.

You must be old enough to agree to these terms in the place you live, and the details you give must be your own and accurate.

Connecting a calendar

Connecting a calendar is optional, and the app works without one, though it will know less about when you are free. Connect only calendars you are entitled to connect. If a calendar belongs to your employer, make sure their rules allow you to link it to an outside service.

The app asks for read access only and cannot change anything in your calendar. You can disconnect at any time from your profile page, which also deletes every event synced from that calendar.

What is expected of you

Do not use reTorHub to:

Workspaces exist to keep separate worlds separate. Treat what you see inside one as belonging to the people in it.

What you write

Descriptions, messages and notes you write stay yours. You give reTorHub permission to store and show them as the service needs, which means showing them to the people in the same workspace and including them in the emails the app sends about a gathering. Nothing you write is published outside your workspace.

What is not promised

The service is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. There is no promise that it will be available, that a proposed time will suit everyone, or that the matching will find the best possible answer. A proposal is a suggestion, and a booking follows only from people actually agreeing to it.

To the extent the law allows, there is no liability for indirect or consequential loss, for missed meetings, or for lost data. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud, which cannot be limited by law.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time from your profile page, which removes your profile, your connected calendars, the events synced from them and the gatherings you organise. Access can also be suspended or withdrawn where these terms are broken, or where the project stops running.

Changes and governing law

These terms can change as the project develops. The date at the top changes with them, and continuing to use the service means accepting the version then in force.

They are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
